SWAN is a third-generation spectral wave model that computes random, short-crested wind-generated waves in coastal regions and inland waters.

NHWAVE is a non-hydrostatic wave model of the University of Delaware that is capable of simulating wave processes (dispersion, shoaling, refraction, diffraction and breaking) from deep water to nearshore.

XBeach is a two-dimensional model for wave propagation, long waves and mean flow, sediment transport and morphological changes of the nearshore area, beaches, dunes and backbarrier during storms. This model is developed by UNESCO-IHE, Deltares, Delft University of Technology and the University of Miami.

NEOWAVE is a depth-averaged model based on the non-hydrostatic shallow water equations of the University of Hawaii.
